Myofascial Release Therapy
Trained in a methodology learned in Mexico and Berlin, my offering is rooted in my belief in the power of healing touch. Our first language out of the womb, touch, is vital in communicating comfort, safety, and love - conditions which facilitate deep, embodied transformation. I use long, slow, and deep strokes on muscles and connective tissue (fascia) to support trust, ease, and relaxation in the body. This helps regulate the nervous system, allowing the body to melt, open, and for energy to flow freely. Through presence, deep care, and intuitive guidance, I support the body’s innate ability to heal - to let go of physical tension, emotion, energy or fluid blockages, and trauma stored in the depths of body tissue.
When my body meets yours, I draw on my own journey - through international law and academia, the raw edges of war and violence, the resilience of the human spirit, and healing that became crucial after witnessing widespread human atrocity firsthand. From this authentic, embodied space, I invite you to slow down; reconnect with your innate gifts, creativity, clarity of mind; and nurture that which elicits aliveness within you.
I believe your unique and authentic essence is a magnificent thread in the vast, wild tapestry of life-affirming culture.
Pricing & Gift Economy
I embrace a sliding scale with the intention for this modality to be widely accessible. I balance this alongside my own depth of experience and financial needs as a single mother.
A range of $110-$150 per hour allows me to work from a place of service, integrity, and trust. A $50 deposit secures your booking via the ‘book now’ link above. Following the session you choose the balance that feels right for you. Because of the slowness and depth of the work, sessions are 90-120mins. I consider spaciousness, care, and patience supportive of the body's sophisticated integration and healing processes.
Each moon cycle I gift a treatment to a single mother in recognition of the immense effort and responsibility mothers hold in nurturing the life that is future generations. I long to be part of culture that honours, supports, and centres mothers and their children so they, and culture that ripples out from their relationship, thrives. Nominate a mother, or reach out directly, mama!
I offer treatments in Lake Hāwea.
